Default RTE Lower shock mounts Need Advice and a second opinion

My battle buddy ordered a set of DII lower front mounts from RTE. They arrived and he wasn't real impressed and wasn't sure if he should use them or not. So he called me and I had him send a few pictures over.

I was not impressed at all, the pics show what look like to me really bad welding work. It looks like what I get when I use my flux core mig welder before I clean the area. The gaps and melted away part of the mount and the spatter everywhere just don't scream quality. I told him not to use them, and look into returning them to the vendor.

What do you guys think? I'm not a welding expert by any stretch of the imagination but these don't look good to me.

Those look like a 15 year old kid made them in HS shop class.
I wouldn't run them and RTE should be embarrassed for putting out that level of "quality".
But they are the best Bird$hit welds I've seen in a while.

Those welds look like crap, A good weld will look like you opened a roll of coins and let them slide out. Who ever welded those was either drunk or a complete noob. I would get my money back and forget about them.
Hoah hoah...roger?!

Not at all the kind of quality I would expect from them. I'm sure there is an excuse for the way they look (new guy, bill was on vacation, etc)
But there is no excuse for those turds to be sent out with out some qc stopping the shipment and making sure that quality parts leave.

Did your buddy install and run these? Why are there marks on the tabs from shocks? I wonder if this is a set Bill's son Travis made up while practicing?

Brett nope the outlines are from the washers in the hardware kit that came with them. My first thought when I looked at the was they were used to lol

Apparently that quality coat of rustoleum couldnt take the extreme challenge of being shipped.

For the 1st time, I don't even think they would put out crap like that. Oh my God I think I just defended $hitPart. LOL
