I'm new here, so here goes nothing...

I recently purchased a 1997 Land Rover Discovery and have had it for almost three months. When I started it up this morning the check engine and service engine light came on and wouldn't go off. Does anyone know what this could be? Thanks!

 

Go and get the codes read either at a shop (dealership or independant) or at an auto part store that has a code reader

 

gotcha. so if I have the code you can tell me what's wrong with it?

 

If you have an Auto Zone or other auto parts store, they usually will read the codes for free. Write down the exact numbers and get back to us.
