Default Is this a special model?

Saw this for sale. Interior looks different and thought it might be some special D2. Any ideas?

Seats look like custom garbage, but I think it's a Kalahari edition anyways.

That is a Kalahari no doubt. The wheels, the Special Vehicle badge on the back door, and the grey dash with silver accent panel.

The seats have been re-covered vs the orignals, but I'd buy that D2 in a heartbeat!!!

IMHO it's a badly modded 'lookalike' and what makes me more convinced is they would advertise it as a Kalahari for much more cash. The interior doesn't match and looks very tacky.

If you are seriously considering it, check the VIN # with Landrover US or UK and they will tell you the total history and confirm whether or not.

I really doubt it's a look a like. The wheels are correct, the dash is correct (grey with silver accent panel above the glove box vs wood), it has the Land Rover Special Vehicle plaque vs it being a sticker on the back door, it has the Rocker Guards, the front bumper is correct (special low profile) and it has the brush guard. It's missing the roof rack, but it's not un-common to find a Kalahari without a roof rack. The original seats were NOT leather and they had cloth in the middle so they probably wore out and vs trying to find a good set 1 out of 300 (150 White & 150 Yellow), used ones they had them re-covered. I don't like the seats, but you can change that very easy!!

I know all these fine details as I am a very proud owner of an 02 Kalahari and it's by far my favorite!

Some LR owners out there are clueless to what they have especially if they don't get online and look things up. If I could that LR would already be in my driveway!

I love Kalahari Editions and LR Special Vehicles. Sure it's just a paint job, and extra little details, but it's special and unique. $2700.00 is a great price!

Its a Kalahari with poorly retrimmed seats and door panels.
