Rough road fault, it is not off road use, it is a ABS code.

Have you replaced the cranks sensor?
Which is the #1 reason a DII just shuts off for no reason.

so far, I replaced the batt. cable ends, alternater, mass air flow, crank sensor, idal air, spark plugs, wires, and tps.Land rover cant figure it out. My local mechanic has used a few differnt computer systems that are made for Land rover, and they cant pick any thing up.This is the worst truck I have ever owned.

Thanks for your reply!

Jesus dude... maybe a little background? like does it restart instantly? does it have to cool off? is it when idling? driving fast? Check the Idle stabilization valve, if someone put the airbox lid on wrong and one speck of dirt gets in that valve it will make it stick.

1. Carry a spare spark plug.

2. When it shuts off, if it won't restart at once, the carnk sensor coulf be the issue. Unplug a spark wire, attach spare plug, lay on manifold, crank and check for sparks. Usualy a bad crank sensor wants to cool down before it will work again.

3. Loose wire or bad inertia switch - killing the main relay, or loose fuse (sometimes hairline crack with a mind of their own), or fuel pump relay. Would go over the underhood fusebox for everything being clean and tight top side and plug ins below.

4. Could be a loose ground somewhere.

5. Not many things stop the engine while running.

RPMS will drop, then some times it will die, when it does die no warning lites, then it starts up like nothing happened, no fault codes, and no fault codes in the history.Ive replaced just about every thing that has been sugested to me.I have cheaked all the ground wires to, they are squeky clean.I wish this truck would just give up and burn to the ground!

thanks for your replys!

Same thing happened to me. After replacing the crankshaft position sensor, it turned out I just needed a new fuel pump...(expensive fix)

Same thing MIGHT be happening to your truck.
