Lowe's tool dept, auto parts stores (usually in the single socket for sale area) - needs to be skinny (like 1/4 drive) or "necked down" (tapered smaller on the business end) if a 3/8. If using a 3/8 don't over tighten, the range between tight and snap is not much.

I got mine at Sears, they had it hanging on the wall, I got a 1/4" drive deep well socket.
If you really really cant get one I can get one for you, I have a cousin who is a Snap-On tool rep and he can get anything you ever wanted.

I just did my valve cover gasket and I went through the same search as so many others. I went to sears, lowes, harbor frieght and everywhere else but I couldn't find them. I finally found a good set on Amazon.com.
DIY repairs: Valve cover gasket(1/02/12),Plenum gasket(1/02/12), Crank Sensor(1/20/12),Rotors and Pads(1/21/12), Oil Sump Gasket(1/22/12),
