Don't forget the safety factor too. Don't want to be up on a ladder, why not have a safe platform.

Even with the rover-rack...I still think you are going to need a chainsaw to get lights on the top of that tree...or a helicopter. Pretty ambitious project.

This is great, I thought I was the only one who used his Rover for home projects!

Just finished fabricating my front bumper. Hopefully do my final welds today and get it over to the powder coating for a wrinkle black finish.

Finishing up my rebuild. Left to do: need to clean the injectors, and repair the wiring harness.

Overall, the process seemed to go pretty much as expected. I checked and measured everything, so I'm really hoping everything works.

While I cleaned everything (and I mean everything, down to every last bolt) I opted to paint only the valve covers and manifolds. Not a fan of the bright colors, so I left the nice aluminum on the block alone, and "restored" the valve covers & manifolds back to a nice metal color.

Planning to install the engine later this week or the weekend. I have this 4 point lift leveler: https://www.amazon.com/Torin-T32100-...+lifting+hooks

So I'll need to find some hooks, and it looks like I can only do a 2-point lift instead of 4. Maybe some carabiners?

Repaired air leak, rear window felt guide had slid down in the channel and was cupping/sending outside air against my neck. Slid them both up (both rear doors) and lubed felt guide. No more driving as if the windows are open...whoo hoo!

Lubed rear door latch, opens now...whoo hoo!

Adjusted drivers wiper...no more hitting the pillar plastic piece...whoo hoo!

Three for three tonight...so I quit while I was ahead.

Brian.
