Did the crank pulley spin loose? I've popped a stubborn one in the past with a punch and hammer

No the oil pump sheared it down when it went out. I have been pounding on it with a punch for some time with no luck.

might try that freeze off in a can to see if you can shrink it a bit. I fear it is stuck in the key way due to the mauling it took.

Daum! That thing is FUBAR.

If the keyboard cleaner trick doesn't work. Drill a small hole in the top of it in a location where you can insert the punch and tap it out. Load that thing up w/ PB Blaster to assist with cutting down friction. Preferably, you would want to drill the hole closer to the end of the key (the end closer the radiator).

I would suggest heating the crank is your last resort

If there is room, surgical use of a cut off tool or dremel to cut a slice down the middle of the key should relieve enough pressure to allow its removal, just be sure not to touch the crank.
