Default Transmission fluid change

Okay, so I've been mildy informed that if I need to add or change out the fluid in my 2003 Disco2 4.6L I can do it myself. The dealership told me they need to do it, but other have said otherwise.

Is there a "step by step" process anyone has for me? Or any info at all?

Thanks

Check the technical section of the forum under discovery 1 or discovery II for a write up with photos; also download the tech manual called the RAVE, which covers a broad range of Rovers and is the factory manual. Biggest issue is dropping the pan to change the filter. But the photos will help you decide if you want to tackle it.
