Greetings all,
I am brand spanking new to the forum and to Land Rover so please excuse me for the lack knowledge or incorrect term usage.
I have a 1999 Range Rover, and have what I assume to be a transmission fluid leak. I originally thought it was a coolant leak, after looking for the leak it appears that it is coming out of the radiator. After trapping the fluid I now realize it is pink. Definately not the color of the coolant. Does the transmission fluid go through the radiator to cool it? Where might I start to troubleshoot a transmission fluid leak? Where do I find the cap to check the fluid? Is it and enclosed system, can I even get access to the trasmission lines for a somewhat easy inspection? Any help is greatly appreciated and Thank you!
Don't take this personaly, but based on your questions, you have little or no mechanical back ground or experience and I would suggest you take this problem to a good Rover mechanic, not the dealer and have him repair the tranny cooling lines.
