Question 2003 Freelander engine repair

Hi everyone ! I checked out your forum and this is an awsome site for Rover enthusiasts. Very glad I joined up and hope to make some friends here. Now, down to business...
I currently, and unfortunately own a slightly broken 2003 Freelander with a 2.5 litre V-6 gas motor.
I am removing the oil pan to install new rod bearing inserts. I hope I caught it in time before the crank was trashed. Can anyone tell me if there are bolts ect. in-between the engine and transmission? If so, then I gotta pull the engine to get the pan off...grrr

Download a copy of the RAVE manual which will give you detailed information on motor disassembly. You can find a link in the Disco section.
