Default FREELANDER BENT DRIVESHAFT/ blower motor ??

Hey folks,

got an 03 freelander se3. Question is, my driveshaft is bent. Don't know how it did but at the same time I don't wanna pay for a new one. Any ideas as to if it can be unbent? Rebuilt for cheap? or anyone know any inexpensive parts or used ones? Also I need a new blower motor with resistor. Lookin online and parts show around 4hundred. Anyone know anything less pricy? Thanks

Freelander is a newer unit, might not be a lot at dismantlers yet, or even salvage yards, as they command enough $$$ to be considered a rebuildable wreck.

Might want to consider local electric motor repair shop. You sure you just don't need resistor pack?

Don't believe you'll have much success straightening the drive shaft, but a drive line shop can fab one for you for a lot less than a dealer. And if it something like a couple of U joints, they can deal with that for even less.

your blower motor went cause the heater core is leaking all over it.

You don't need a resistor. They don't go bad. the motor goes first cause of the coolant.

Sorry but the dash has to be pulled.

You might want to chuck the car now since you can't fathom paying for anything. Cause guess what, if you think a blower motor is expensive you aint seen the other crap along with the engine and transmission that go bad.
