Lightbulb Problem with starting 2003 Freelander SE

I have tried everything for this vehicle to start. I have changed the Spark Plugs because the car started shaking like it needed new plugs. So, I put new Spark Plugs. I tried turning the key to no avail. Never even made a sound. I checked the starter it checked out ok. I in turn checked my relays they checked out ok. Now, I noticed that when I turn the key the Ignition gets very hot. Is this normal ? The car is still sitting out in the front of the house. I need some help with this problem that I seem to get most of the time with this vehicle.

Does anyone have an idea of this dilemma ???

If the ignition is getting hot, I would suspect a short in the wiring. Any aftermarket add-on amperage-suckers or new auto parts store gizmos that have been hacked into the wiring harness?

It Could be a resistor pack problem or a short circuit in wiring , so check all wiring to the coil and fix the problems.
