Question Transmission Flush

Hi to everyone, my first post on here, just got a 2003 freelander, want to know what tranny fluid I can use to flush the tranny. Where I work I have axcess to synthetic tranny fluid, can I use this, the local dealership still has not called me back 2 days later. Also what fuel supplements are safe to use? Thanks in advance.

Do not touch your tranny fluid under any circumstances, you will kill it. It takes only 1 kind of fluid, sold only at the dealers and flushing it with any chemicals and you will be looking for a new tranny.

you can use transmission fluid from BG but it comes in sixteen quarts only. We flush the transmission fluid very rarely on a freelander. Usually it needs a new transmission anyway.

Default tranny

Hi Guys thanks for all the advice, I spoke to my dealer here in Winnipeg and they want $800 for a flush, I looked up on a mitchell system at work and it appears to be a drain and fill. The local dealer ship said that the tranny would have to be reprogrammed after the flush?
I decided to phone a dealer ship in Minnesotta, they said a flush would be $200. Nothing special either, so either my dealer is expensive or they do not know what they are doing!!! The reason for me getting it flushed is just regular maintenance.
My Freelander has done 123KM and runs ok at the moment.
