Question What Motors Can I Put for a 2004 Freelander?

I have this 2004 SE Freelander which needs a new motor. I would like to know which motor you would recommend to put in, would you recomend a BMW motor if so which one?

only a rover 2.5 works. nothing else.

Although if you take it out and you have access to a 2.5 ford escape engine its possible.

its a jatco transmission so you will need a vehicle that matches the jatco.

If you can find another engine to work and or got to a engine transmission assembly so be it.

Trust me we are behind you are this one. We can't get new engines anymore and the rebuilts are not the best.

If we can find what works trust me it will be a god sent.
