Default Engine light + lose of power

Hey guys,

My 2012 110 has not missed a tick until today. At 80k its had the engine light go on, with a dramatic loss of power. I guess it could be a number of things. was serviced 1000km ago.

Looking for some advice on 'best foot forward'.

Appreciate it!

Is this with a diagnostic tool I'm assuming?

When the 'check engine light' comes on your truck will emit a code which can be read by an OBD (on board diagnostic) reader. Something like 'P1193', "P0224', etc, etc. The different codes are clues as to what is not right in your truck. Based on that info it is possible to figure out what needs to be addressed.

All it takes is a smart phone, a OBD dongle, and an app.

Also, it is super useful for the readers of your post to know where you are located and what type of truck/engine/transmission you have. You can put them in your 'signature' so that you don't need to continually type them in.

or you go to any auto parts store and they will read the codes for you for free.
