Default '52 Disco Brake Issue

Hi all - new member here, I'll post an intro soon but if anyone could help with the below

- I have a 52 plate diesel discovery and this morning the brake pedal goes completely to the floor and the handbrake light stays on even though it's not! I drove just round the corner to test it and it does stop but with no urgency and certainly not safe at the moment.

can anyone suggest anything that may be causing this please ??

get under the vehicle and/ or jack it up and remove the wheels to first check for a broken or leaking brake line or caliper. It could also be a faulty master cylinder, but check on the leaks first........

The park brake light is ALSO the "low brake fluid" light. Check the fluid level in the reservoir (master cylinder), I bet it is low, which is why the brakes feel the way they do, there is air in the system. You will need to find the leak, repair, fill and bleed the heck out of it, to get the brake pedal feel back.
