Default High Pitch Whistle

Help! I have a 03 Land Rover that runs good but suddenly has started a whistling in the morning when I first drive it. I starts when I get on the freeway and gets loud, then after I drive about 10 or 15 min. on the freeway it stops. Then in the afternoon it does not happen. I also have the service engine soon light came on and the code shows a vacuum leak in the emissions ? runs great and quiet overall. Any one shine some light on the problem for me.
Thanks
Gary

A vac leak can make a good whistle. One way to isolate the sound is to put a short piece of hose to your ear, and move the other end around to find the source of the noise. An exhaust leak can also make a noise, but it is usually a "puff-puff" sort of thing, instead of a constant note.
