Exclamation Overheating (what else is new) but can't figure out why.

Okay, so my 1998 LR disco has an overheating issue. It doesn't do it often, just when it's near 100 degrees out and I have the AC going. I have changed the water pump, new thermostat, flushed the radiator. And put water wetter in with the coolant. The fan spins no problem and the electrical fan kicks on when it needs to. It's on its original head gasket. But the coolant system holds pressure for 4+ hours. I don't see or smell anything funny from the exhaust. I don't really know what else to check lol any help?

Check your fuel pressure if you pressure regulator is going out or your pump or if your fuel filter is clogged it will cause the engine to run lean and make the temp rise. I have had the same issue before. Also if your cats are clogged or 02 sensor crapping out will cause a lean issue also. And did you bleed the air out of the system the proper way as stated in the RAVE man. Also check for the heads for weeping head gaskets don't always go out next to the cylinder wall or water Jacket.

Actually, all of my 02 sensors are out of commission. I never felt like I really needed them. Especially at over $100 each lol.

Don't buy your o2 sensors from parts stores or the other places I got mine from amazon .com cost me 130 for both with free shipping but yeah not saying that is it but if the o2 sensors are not working right your air fuel mix is off and will make it run lean and hot. Mainly it makes the exhaust mans. get really hot and can also vaporizes the fuel in the rail and kill your injectors.

If you do replace the o2 sensors make sure you disconnect the battery and do a proper reset on it. And your rover should run a lot better. Feel sorry for you the front 2 suck replacing not the o2 sensor the wiring because the plugs for them are on the tranny bell housing behind the coil.
