Default So...I left my oil cap off...

Yup, I'm an idiot. As soon as popped the hood to clean the motor I saw this. Almost comical, I immediately changed my oil.

Lol, you can see where the cap stayed the entire offroading trip. Anything else I should do?

No mud in used oil

Maybe change oil / filter again in a short period. Would hope that most of this has been trapped by the filter. But even a good Mobile 1 filter, with a 10 micron rating, can pass very fine silt (which goes down to about 4 microns). So while the sand and bigger stuff will be trapped in the filter, some small crap may still be in there. Bigger issue is new filter getting plugged up with the mud it traps. The oil also goes through the oil cooler on radiator before it gets to filter, if you can have a couple of o-rings on hand, you could clean that out as well.

HA!

You don't have to worry about rust under the hood now.

Lol, I use my Rover for it's intended use; I ride hard. (That's what she said)

Pressure washer cleaned her well enough for me...I just hate not being able to touch any components w/out getting dirt all over me haha
