Just got this 2003 Disco II and managed to get it to hold its oil so far. Now I'm trying to get the vehicle to stop chiming at me. All lights work and none are on. Random 3 chimes at no specific interval. 2003 model so no CDL.
I did search and see where others have had similar issues but no report as to what actually resolved the issue. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Do all of the dash warning lights work?
Example, when you turn the key to the "run" position but do not start it do the check engine light, traction control, ABS, etc. lights come on?
Good question, didn't think of that. It has coils, but I assumed SLS was not included on this model. How would I be able to tell if SLS was on this vehicle originally?

If it is a 7 passenger it came with the SLS, no other option.
It was included to aid in getting in and out of the back by lowering it.
So....look for the height sensors on the rear axle, the compressor under the passenger floor board.
Then do this test, drive it hard around a corner so it leans, does the chime go off?
If the system is not turned off and there is a fault if I remember right it chimes at you and sets off a warning light.
The light is of the back of the truck with a arrow pointing down if I am not mistaken.
That bulb could be broken and I think it is supposed to come on during the self test when you turn on the key, but I could be wrong.
SO, if they replaced the SLS but did not take it to the dealer to have it turned off it will set off a fault code (SLS warning lamp) when it detects a fault, like the truck not sitting level, etc.
Not all SE7's came with SLS. The easiest way to tell if yours had it would be to look at the switches to the right of the cluster and see if there is one showing the back of the truck with an arrow pointing up.
