Default range rover classic

Hey everybody, I am new to this site. I have a 1992 Range rover county, I am looking to increase the performance (acceleration) a little bit. Does anybody have any ideas? I am also thinking about purchasing the borla muffler for the Range rover... Does anybody know how it sounds or have any reviews of the product?

Thank you

I'm running a loud/perf muffler on my 93 LWB. Sounds good, but on long trips it's a bit annoying. probably a 10% boost to the 4.2L. It's a cheap mod adding it. replace the rear mufler with straight pipe too. It passed California inspection before I got it.

There is a place in the UK that sells a header system, however, it's $800 complete and could get damaged in shipping. I've wanted to chop up a 62 pontiac/215 header and make my own but haven't found the source in the US yet. dont know if a SBC would work (angles, size, etc...). I've wanted to go header/ dual mufflers / side-pipe outlets. No restriction in FLorida for that I think.

How much of an increase are you looking for, how many miles on the truck, what have you done tune up wise, what octane gas are you running.
How mechanical are you?
