Default replacement muffler

Any quiet aftermarket mufflers that will bolt right in place on a 99 Disco Series I? Mine has some rust & will need a replacement soon.

Thanks.

If you can stand the noise, I went with no muffler on my 95 Disco. It's not too loud and adds a lot more power.

thats about the funniest thing i have ever heard...
1. not gonna gain power that way, not noticable
2. not gonna be quiet, defently not tolerable
3. illeagle (sp)

maybe you are thinkkng you removed you rear resanator...

You do mean the muffler, not the resinator, right?
The resinator can be cut of and you get a little more clearance and a nice mellow sound.
I have not heard anything about replacing the muffler with something quiet, most people want NOISE.

You can opt for a stock replacement but the only company that I know that makes a bolt in Exhaust for the DII is Borla. It has a million mile warranty but its around $500. Rover Connection and Atlantic British has them in stock.

When I removed mine, I just took it off with a hack saw, usually good to put a short extension on afterwards so you don't suck fumes into the truck.
Made a nice mellow sound difference.

I have a 96RR and want to replace the original exhaust system... I want to change from the Cat to the end. I want that nice low tone rumble and nothing way too loud. What do you guys recommend for a brand of exhaust/muffler? I would like to split into a dual exhaust out the back.
