Default Bonnet open display

Washed my LR2 yesterday and now the display keeps flashing the "BONNET IS OPEN" and it isn't. I have opened and shut it numerous times and the display keeps showing.

The worst effect is that I can't lock the car with the FOB - the car horn honks and the locks won't lock. I have to get into the back seat and reach with a stick to lock it on the dashboard. Believe me that is the only way to lock the car.

Any suggestions? I will call the dealer tomorrow but if this is an easy fix let me know.

Thanks

the switch either got water in it or the connector came off, its on the hood latch, im pretty sure both of them on the lr2... anyway, get it into the dealer, should be a pretty easy fix

Replaced the switch. Wish I knew exactly where it is located.
