i would say it depends on what sort of spec you want becuase i know here in the uk, for the same price as a top model freelander 2 you can get a good disco 3, which seems much more appealing

Really? Always in the shop? Mine isn't, and she's about to go on a 2000 mile road trip tomorrow morning. I'm in love with this car. I will NEVER buy an American or non-European-made car ever again. She's quality, sturdy, powerful, comfortable, and a perfect car for someome who loves to drive. If you don't like to drive, and only do so to get from Point A to Point B, you might be better off with a car that has a smaller sticker price, and fewer upscale features.

had my lr2 for 6 mos ... just past 24,000 kms ... at highway speeds .. no major issues.

only issues have been: bluetooth and pairing with a blackberry (no success yet); mystery problems with sound system - occassionally everything is on, but no sound, mysteriously resets itself after hours, days or restarts; front passenger seat belt warning stays on for a bitafter the the passenger has left the car ... these are nits. mechanically it performs very well, great handling ... as previous owner of volvo s90 w/inline 6 ... great smooth engine.

do wish the storage area was a tad longer and wider.

too many cup holders

you will enjoy the vehicle.

Great cars with great of road ability due to traction control. they usually only appear in service for scheduled maint. unreal for a first year product !
Just got back from an off road event in NJ and the little LR2's did it all and shocked alot of people that attended.

After8 months, I am continually impressed by this vehicle. Bracing for a loud, truck like drive, the highway experience ranks right up there with the best sedans (unless you get the premium audio package, then you'll be in a different league that most luxury sedans can't touch!)

I tend to be critical with my cars, but this one really hits the mark. Just wish it had more interior storage bins for 'stuff'.

To pair it with your blackberry you need to install the patch that can be found on Rim's website or if you google it.
