Default Help Needed for a Discovery2

Ok My story goes like this. I bought aDiscovery 22000 which had a salvage title
on it, which itself does not sound great, I know. But I have it now and I
am in need of help. The vehicle was hit and repaired. The body looks new
and the motor has done 60,000 miles. The Check engine light and the SRS
lights are on. The SRS light is because of the hit the vehicle had.
I took it to the Land rover dealer and the guys said the following was the
problem. The engine was positioned a little more back than what it should
have been. The car needs new O2 sensors Y pipes and other things which
totalled to $6000. I never trust the dealers.
The truck runs but has no power in it in the sense the engine starts runs and
drives but does not have the power like a normal engine would. Also I noticed
the exhaust becomes red hot when i drive it for sometime. I really dont know
what to do. May be a good mechanic who works on LR can help me. I live in Princeton
NJ. I do not want to sell the truck saying it runs fine and let anybody be a fool
like me.
Any help suggestions will be greatly appreciated other than the ideal of selling the truck.
Thank you.

You posted in the wrong area, your D2 is not an LR2.
