Default I Love my 2008 LR-2 - But, have Bluetooth Problem

I have had my LR-2 for 3 weeks and it has been awesome. I took it on a road trip, put 400mi on it and it ran great! Fuel use was as expected, averaged 20 MPG. I replaced a 2004 VW Touareg and there is not much to compare. The LR-2is a different class of vehicle in a much better way!

I highly recommend this vechicle. I have it loaded with all the goods Nav/Lights/Heat.

My only complaint is that the Bluetooth doesn't work with the Blackberry 8703, 8830 or 8800. I am still searching for ways to get this to work, anyone have any success?

Hi! I finally managed to get the Blackberry 8800 to mate with the car, but it was at the Sprint store, and I chose NOT to purchase it. I have my heart set on a Blackberry Pearl and it won't set up correctly with the LR2, at least so far.

If you manage to find a way to get the Blackberrys to work with the LR2, please post it, as there IS a problem with them. My dealer had warned me about it, as they'd had problems with the Blackberry on the RR.

As far as Balckberry's are concerned, these are listed on the LR site as NOT recommended with LR3 and Range Rover/Sport, but you may have luck with them on the LR2:
Pearl 8100 (v4.2.64 platform 2.2.0.37)
8700c (v4.1.0.194 platform 2.0.0.90)
8703e (v4.10.344 platform 2.2.0.149
7130c (v4.1.0.321 platform 2.1.026)
7130e (v4.10.268 platform 2.2.0.98)
7250 (v4.10.268 platform 2.2.0112)

Thanks for the list! I just copied it and printed it to take it with me! I'm glad to hear the Motorola Rzr's are good to go.

Just out of curiousity, has anyone tried to mate a new Iphone with the LR2? Or maybe even some other LR model? They aren't available to us yet, since ATT doesn't provide service up here (that's what we get for living in the boonies, lol), but I love them and that would be my choice when some other phone company gets the rights to offer them!

My partner has the iPhone and the bluetooth worked great with my LR2. It uploaded all of th phones info - ie contacts and numbers and the the calling was just as easy as with my Motorola RZR. So far very compatible.

Blackberry posted a utilitycalled the Bluetooth Pairing Helper, http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/searc...rnalId=KB14152

It's meant to help for the following cars:
[*]Land Rover LR2 (Europe and North America)[*]Volvo S80 and V70 (Europe only)[*]Jaguar XK (Europe and North America)

Tried it with my Pearl and LR2 and worked fine.

Regards,

R.

I'm getting ready to purchase an LR2 and and happy to hear my iPhone will sync. Stupid question, though. What option do I require on the LR2 to get Bluetooth sync? The Tech Package?

Looking forward to days of enjoyable driving!
