Default LR2 brake and steering noise and pedal response

I have a squeeking/streching sound from the front when brakes are applied, even slightly and move the steering wheel. I took it in to see in case it was something that may be going out, but they cleaned the brakes and said nothing was wrong. Brakes seem to work OK, but sound still remains.
Any one else have this issue?

Also when accelerating after slowing down, pedal response is very slow. Keep pushing down and not much happens, eventually it will kick in and go. Also they said that was not a problem. Is this also common?

Hi Darren,

I have this exact same problem. I live in a condo, and I notice that sound (like a squeak, stretch, crunch sound) when I round the corners and apply the brakes. I haven't taken it in, but it almost sounds like the suspension is creeking as I turn the corners. Sounds bad. My servicing will be coming up so I will mention it to them then.

Cheers
Jason

I just had my LR2 in for servicing, and I reported this problem to the dealer. They test drove 2 other LR2's on the lot as well, and noticed that ALL of them have this problem. The isolated it to being the geometry of the suspension under breaking at low speeds and turning, and that the pressure pushes the struts/springs into a crunching position, but nothing to worry about. Apparently the suspension was designed for more of an up and down motion, rather than a "up/down forward" motion.

Hope this helps - at least it's nothing problematic - for now

Cheers!
jason
