Default LR2 Front Windshield PROBLEMS

So got a brand new LR2 got the rock chip protection to keep the new girl clean when driving to the local ski resort and what happened? Well the front windshield is getting a whole bunch of rock chips. Past cars that I have driven up to the pass never every had this problem either has anyone I know with any car ever. The chips are about the size of an ink pen tip and all over the front windshield. Probably about 100 or more on the windshield, oh and not to mention that the car has only about 2500 miles on it. I have the cold weather package with the heated front windshield, this sounds like a manufacturing defect. Just wondering what everyone else is thinking. I am pretty sure this is something wrong and going to go to the dealership looking for input tho…
