Default Milky dashboard

I'm new to the forums so apologize in advance if this issue has been addressed.

My LR2 is a 2012. The black dashboard is getting a milky white finish to it - like the white is being pulled out of the dash, or the black is rapidly fading. My last car lasted 17 years with a black dash that this didn't happen at all. I realize that I can start treating it, but I'm surprised this is happening in such a still-new car.

Has anyone else had this happen?

Sun affects different materials in their own way. Just treat and clean dash more often.
Windshield sun screen helps when parked in sun.
