Default Need Help with decision

Need Help. I am trying to decide between a BMW X3 and a Land Rover LR2. The obvious comparison is price. LR2 fully loaded is about the base price for an X3. All the major magazines have done recent comparisons with these two vehicles as well as the Acura RDX. Those publications are very biased and it’s hard to use that information, they are very inconsistent. My sister has an X3, which I recently drove and thought was great. I found a few issues I didn’t like, she said I was nit picking. Can anyone lend me some insight on which vehicle I should purchase. Thanks for the Info in advance!!

IMO, I like the lR2 much better. Just by the looks, I think the LR2 looooks much better than the BMW. But it's a matter of taste I guess.

Yes it is a matter of taste. My Land Rover dealer also sells BMW, so I had the opportunity available to me to do a REAL comparison. Pricing is only one small part of owning a car.

BMW X3 = Performance. Land Rover LR2 = Off Road Capabilities. I test drove the X3 and have been inonelots of timesas my friend has one. The X3 has a tighter interior but with perhaps better quality material. The LR2 is more spacious. I picked the LR2.

The LR2 looksbetter... BMW is and will always be my first love, but the X3 is not an attractive truck, and if you don't have a nice wheel and tire package on it they are borderline ugly. The LR2 will look better in your driveway.

I drove all kinds of vehciles before I picked my LR2. It was the first one I drove. I went to the BMW dealership. I simply did not like the look of the X3. It looks like a hightop shoe. I did drive a 338ix but I have an SUV for a reason (big dogs). I love my LR2!
