Negatives of buying the last year of a model

Biggest downside I can think of is the future availability of parts. But in the case of the LR2, as it shares so many components with Volvo & Ford, this shouldn't be a problem.
One might make the point that a discontinued model is a sign of failure. While that may be the case for many models, I'm not sure that is true for the LR2. It's the perfect size, looks sharp, and has the Land Rover luxury branding without all the bad repair history of the larger models. I could speculate that LR2 cut into the sales of the more pricey Rovers causing Land Rover to limit their product line to the higher margin vehicles.

Sweet and thanks! Going to look at and probably buy a '15 tomorrow.
