2006 "Certified" LR3 with 62K miles, good value? questions about towing?
Hey all,
i have been lurking and researching a while, waiting to sell my currenet SUV before purchasing, and leaning toward an LR3 based on my research so far...I really like the 2004/5 RR models interior better, but think the versatility of the LR3 with 3rd row for occasional groups of kids we encounter is better suited for me.
Also, i have a small-ish boat I tow, only about 4500 pounds on the trailer. From the specs, should not be a problem, but would love to hear from someone that owns one of these and tows similar weight?
Also looking for input on market pricing, the best option for me that I've found so far is 2006 LR3 SE, 3rd row, hitch, silver over black, 62k miles, clean looking for sure. Ask is $19,900 before other fees/sales tax. I'm going to go out tomorrow and drive it and try to offer $19k out the door, or is that unreasonable of me? It is "certified" which I gather just means it comes with 1 year $100 ded warranty coverage, or is there more to it than that?
Thanks for any guidance, I find people feedback from around the contry is more valuable than NADA and KBB number.
I estimate the load to be ~3000 lbs. No trailer brakes. It pulls very well- I have a little bounce (my tongue weight is a little light... I'm only at 200lb... need to adjust axles and move the boat forward to get to 400lb). Here's a photo of my rig.
