Smile Buying my first LR3

Looking at a 4.0 v6 2007 LR3 SE 7 with 49K clicks. I owner and the cars looks and sounds great.....but the warranty runs out in July (just read that it may be limited to 50k) any help would be appreciated. What typical costly repair items/faults should I look out for? Thanks.

D2 owner, but work in a repair shop that have replaced a few LR3 front lower control arms/bushings.

Make sure the air suspension works properly... that is, I'd check the following:
* Does it raise and lower evenly? If one point is off, that may mean problems.
* Raise and lower it pretty frequently over a test drive (make sure your speed is appropriate -- access and off-road height are limited to ~20 mph or less). Make sure you don't get any suspension faults.

Hi, We had a 06 lr3 vs before we got a 08 v8 lr3. The V6 was good. decent power.
The only thing i would really be looking at are the tires. They do go very fast more so on the 05-06 models. Other than that the lr3 is solid as can be. There is an extended ford warranty you can buy for the LR3 cheaper than others. May want to look into that. Parts and labor can be expensive. My Son in Law happens to be a Mercedes and BMW Mechanic
and has a shop so our repairs for service are not much at all. We just had front brakes done. Dealer wanted 790. My son in law did it for 350 which included parts. You can see the markup a dealer and or mechanic charges for ONLY 1 hr of work.
All and all a solid SUV. You have to expect wear and tear with anything.

Good Luck.
