ORIGINAL: mpt

I've been using and loving my Garmin c550. I know its not as nice as built in - but it fits really well in the space in the dash and has bluetooth for my phone hands free so its two for the price of one and I got it for $329. I could not stomach paying the $$$ LR charges...

the Garmin C550, huh? thank you sir. you've just given me an idea that will kill 2 birds as you did . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
love the forum . . . . . . thx

Who has more info about this. I am mainly looking for 2 things:
- the pin out schemes of the screen and the navigation unit
- the part.no. of the cables being used to do this.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks a lot from the Netherlands

Can the dealer do this same work....I asked the dealer to put in a nav unit...when they delivered my new LR3, they had put in an aftermarket nav unit. I am not pleased. With the car being brand new I would prefer an OEM nav unit that functions properly. Please let me know if any of you have heard of this being done.

Thanks,

G'day, looks like a nice job. did you by chance notice an aux audio conector laying about while you had the audo panel off, and if you did, how did you get the dash cover off?
Thanks. Roammin
