I have a 2008 LR3 SE Discovery that I love. It came with a standard gooseneck detachable towbar like this: LR020002 http://accessories.landrover.com/gl/en/discovery-4/carrying-towing/towing/lr020002-quick-release-tow-bar-stowage/

I would like to get the 2" square one that I have seen, but not sure if it will just fit into my connection. There is no picture on the LR site here:

The newest part number of the receiver type hitch shown is: LR040248

It's a little more compact than the one in the video. Pictures here:

Thanks very much. Would I be correct in my understanding that the actual base towbar that is attached to the vehicle will permit either the gooseneck type ball or the 2" type receiver to be inserted with no modification? i.e the two are interchangeable and have the same interface arrangement.

 

I believe they attach the the LR3/D3 exactly the same way.
