Default seat heat cycles with power availability

Below is a link to the heated seats wiring. You may beable to figure out what the 3 plug conductor on the Land Rover side does or wants to connect to.

Also the backs of the front seats as well as the seat cushions are heated.

If what you are trying to connect is aftermarket, I am not hopeful that you will succeed. Land Rover does things a lot different than most. The heated seat circuits are tied into a power conservation computer system and tend to cycle on and off based on emission requirements and power availability rather than the desires of the driver.

Default heated windscreen probably

Check the comments I just made in the other heated seat thread. I think your original unit was OK and that the extra connector is for a heated windscreen or something like that.

What you should be look for is per the pdf, the 4 conductor connectors under the front seats.

Per the wiring link, I would be looking under the seats instead for 4 conductors connectors C-2950 under the left seat and C-0085 under the right seat. That is what the seat heaters connect to.

Default seat heat relay in engine compartment fuse box

The relay marked as R211 is shown on the electrical pdf link, page 180 and page 181 per below.

The single R211 relay feeds both 25 amp fuses, F7E and F8E. F7E is for both front seats; F8E feeds the second row seats.

To figure out just what relay R211 is, pull relays as required until both F7E and F8E are depowered. I suspect R211 may be R11 so would try that relay first. it is also possible that you do not have an R11 relay or that the two 25 amp fuses are not installed in the fuse panel.

I would be interested in what others have to say with regards to my read of the circuit diagram. Also please let us know if you have the two 25 amp fuses installed and also the relay, whichever it is.

If there are any relays under the seats, I regard them as part of the power seat movement system and have nothing to do with the seat heating.

R11, the third relay down in the row closest to the fuses, is the seat heater relay.

Right boys I checked my relays and I was missing the r11 so I put one in and and hit the heated seat button and the 2 lights come on but only stayed on for about a min then one light went off and before I put the relay in the 2 lights would stay on all day long so I think it would work as I got power under my seats my next job is to fix new seat elements

I have heated seats fitted, control panel all fuses are in place and checked. However the r11 relay is missing. I fitted a relay however still nothing on checking the leg pins for the fuse box there doesnt appear to be any female connectors for the relay to fit in apart from one! Can anyone advise on this? I am confused if it originally came with the heated seats or if someone tried and failed to fit them...
