LR3 workshop Manual...and How Do I Download it?
Savannah Buzz regularly posts excerpts of the LR3 workshop manual, along with a link to let us download it to our computer.
I tried and failed, twice. No program to open the file was the reason.
Another member here offered up a link and I use it. It created WinZip...but I don't have a manual yet; or do I??
OK, after 25 years on the internet (personal use) I've never had the need to zip or un-zip files. What I want is an icon with "LR3 Workshop Manual" on it so I can click it and get to the book.
So far, the download seems to be there, but you have to click a lot of different subject headers and then, I guess, hope that the one you clicked was correct.
Is there a simple 1,2,3 process that will download the manual so it looks just like the book?

Update: I guess that the files are down-loaded, but not easy to get to and definitely not easy to choose the section I would like to read, because there's no index on the list of sections I'm looking at.
?? Can this be made into and icon that I can place on the desktop?
?? Is there an index, or better description? especially valid for photos, IMO
?? After I open and read a file, closing it and getting back to the main files requires that I have to exit that file, then an Adobe page shows up that I also must exit. There's no Back button. Anybody have it differently on your system?

Mine says the whole thing is 454 megabytes, composed of 1119 files in 199 folders. Mine are all pdfs.
The first level is two folders, workshop and electrical (and others). In the workshop things are arranged by title, and here is the index for it.
I have not found the pictures of electrical connectors yet.
Over in the electrical folder, down a few levels, is a student manual to introduce techs to the vehicle. Worth reading, lots of illustrations.
On my drive it is F:\disco\discovery\LR3 workshop manual\Wiring Diagrams etc\LR3\LR3 Training\data\studentbooks
As for not having to unzip files, it may have been done for you by part of the software on your computer, un-zip is a fairly common function. Kind of like Adobe reader and pdf files, pretty common.

I was poking around some and found this:
E:/LandRover/manuals/LR3/LR3_workshop_manual/LR3 workshop manual/Wiring Diagrams etc/LR3/LR3 Training/data/tech.html
The bold part is the path in extracted rar file.
It displays the page below where you can open the sections like you can with RAVE.
I don't see one for the mechanical part.
