New LR3 owner...Satellite radio problems

purchased a 2008 lr3 last week. have been trying to transfer sirius over from my old vehicle with no success. when i press "aux" sirius is on ch 000 and it displays the 800sirius number and i'm able to see a radio id under "sat info" but the activation won't happen. i've been round and round with sirius and have exhausted their trouble shooting. they finally told me to call land rover. before doing so, i tried a reset myself on the vehicle (disconnected battery and connected leads), which also did'nt have any effect. i call Land Rover Dallas today and and they tell me over the phone that they don't have a clue and that i needed to call sirius back. i relayed to them that i read of an LR owner who had to have the dealer reset the vehicle in such a way that only a dealer can and then leave the vehicle running for several minutes while sirius could download/update. pretty much silence on the other end. no real resolution. i can live without satellite but i'd love to have it, i just don't know what to do. any advice or knowledge would be appreciated.
