Default Not cranking

So I purchased a new battery the other day. Had the old one tested and it was bad. Now 3 days later it doesn't want to crank which is the reason I needed a battery to begin with until maybe 5th or 6th time trying to turn over. Just keep getting a clicking sound. So what do yall think. Maybe starter? I don't really know. Like I said when it does finally start it has no problem turning over.

If you have a voltmeter, test yourself, reading both the center of the battery posts, and the outer edges of the terminals. Could have gunk that needs to be cleaned out, not tight after install, etc. Make tests with no load, and with head lights turnd on, voltage should not drop very much.

When running, battery voltage needs to be 13.8 - 14.2, above 14 is good. A 12 volt battery is really only 12 volts when it is somewhat discharged.

If no voltmeter and cleaning cables does not improve, back to the place you bought it for a test.
