Default Parking Brake Issues

My parking brake has started randomly "screaming" at me when I use it. I've stopped using it altogether, but just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. I'd like to have an idea what the problem may be before I take it to the dealer. It seems to be related to the self-stabilizing mechanism as it's happened once before after I was already in the house when the car stabilized itself. I have a 2006 LR3 HSE with 66,000 miles.

NEVER use the parking brake in these things. :-) It's a weak link. Yes, this is a common issue. Take it to the dealer or an independent Land Rover shop for adjustment and repair.
