Question Query re LR Disco 3 '06

Nearside lights aren't working, brake light is. Reg plate light not working either. Replaced all bulbs - nothing. Bought replacement fuses as the relevant one had gone. Installed. They keep blowing. I have two problems. 1. I am a childminder and so being without my car/taking it to the garage with 3 under 5s in tow is a nightmare, as is trying to get a courtesy car that will carry 7 children! 2. I am skint - is there anything I can do (or, preferably, get me other half to do!!!) to resolve this problem? What might be making the fuse keep going every time a replacement fuse is put in? Any help would be very gratefully received thanks!!!!

You have a electrical short somewhere.
I am not a electrical person so I cant help you much more than that.

I moved you to the correct section on the forum, the LR3 section.

are you sure you installed the double filament bulbs. But you have problem with wiring shorting out,

Does the brake lights work and does the parking lights work as well or is it just one side doesn't work?

Hiya - I don't know what type of bulbs, I will check. The brake lights work but the brake light and numberplate light don't come on at all.

OH did say it was quite wet in the rear bulb quarter - is this a typical problem???

The problem is on one side of the vehicle only. The brake light works, all the other lights don't. What do you mean by parking lights - not familiar with this term?!!?

My other half says he took the bulbs that appeared not to be working and got the same type so we have to assume that they were double filament.

if the fuse blows immediately then look for wires, if it takes a while then wiggle wires at the tailgate and the light to see if it blows.
