Default Removing exhaust manifolds

Anyone have any experience?

I am trying to get the driver side off and the 2 bolts directly behind the strut tower support seem to be impossible to get to.

Thanks in advance.

According to the service manual the steering shaft has to come off, unfortunately the reason I'm taking the manifolds off is that the car has so much rust and corrosion I broke 2 of the bolts and can't drill it out.

steering shaft is the same situation, so unless I want to break a bolt on that and drill out, I need to find a way to the 2 hidden bolts.

That sounds miserable. That's the sort of stuff that makes me put down my wrenches for a few months due to utter frustration. Wish I had some advice, but I will say that PB Blaster and an air hammer does wonders to break up rust.
