Default bad audio when ipod connected to lr d4 media system through lr cable

hello everybody. i need to solve a major issue concerning the ipod (nano and classic) connection through the original land rover cable (same as in jaguar's models) to the discovery 4 media system: the sound is extremely poor, low, fuzzy and sort of echoed...
thank you for your help!

Are you using the large cable that directly connects to the Ipod, plus some of real older ipods won't read. Ipod touch and I believe its 4th generation Ipod classic that will work. Also the cable is different for jaguar. Ours is a big stretchy white cable that plugs into the ipod and charges it as well.

...thanks a lot for your answer. The cable provided by LR is the iPod Lead Link Part No*LR019691, a short, black connector cable (no longer included with the 2011 models)
I think there is something very wrong with that specific cable.
I have tried to connect 3 different iPods (classic, shuffle and nano) as well as my iPhone4 through that cable and the sounds is always terrible.

The LR one was long and stretchy. Its possible they used the jag one? Take it to the dealer and make sure the one they provided was correct.

If you're close to your dealer you may want to swap it out with a different one to see if it is actually the cable. Our's was cutting out so I dropped by. They swapped with one from a lot LR4 and it worked fine. Just an idea if you're close.
