As most of you know Land Rover released about 300 special edition Lr4s called "Metropolis edition" (pictured below) Im in love with the truck. From my research I only found 2 dealerships who had the truck in stock (rest sold out) I now just heard that Land Rover is releasing a black Metropolis edition in the coming months. Anyone heard this and can confirm this? or have any pics of the Metropolis edition black version?? Im looking to buy this if true.
Yes, I can confirm the Santorini Black with black leather Metropolis edition, from here in Denver. I was the Land Rover Denver South dealership most of the afternoon, teetering between the Metropolis and a gunmetal grey HSE.
Here's what I know. The dealership expects it in store, next week. They have the sales sheet and pricing ($57,350) and it's almost identical to the Fuji White model, just a black exterior. White stitching on the leather and white piping on the floor mats. 20" wheels and Pirelli PZeros. Black door handles and extended roof rack.
Alas, I decided on the regular HSE. The Metropolis sounds like a gorgeous vehicle, but I'm really a sucker for the Orkney Grey exterior. That and the fact that they (obviously) weren't incentivizing the Metropolis model.
They have arrived at the dealerships. Just saw one today in the Bay Area. I should have snaped a few shots. I can confirm it is pretty sweet looking all in black. This one is definitely not an offroader. No rear locker and 20" rims. Still sweet!!!

Oh yeah... now that you mention it; I believe the Land Rover Rocklin dealership has one up on their artificial rock thingie. I didn't realize what it was until this post.

Yep, went back to buy the grey HSE and ended up buying the Metropolis edition. It's gorgeous and I'm really enjoying it. I'm attaching a low-res photo, now. I'll add some high-res pics later.
