Buying 2011 LR4
Hello all!
I am looking at purchasing a 2011 LR4 with 68K miles on it, I went to the dealership today, not a LR dealer to take it for a drive and generally check it out. When I got by from my test drive, I was cycling through the off-road features utilizing the dial **** and the vehicle hight adjustment switch when need. After I cycled through all the functions (the last one being the "rock crawling" option where the rear diff is locked) and went back to "normal" mode, I got an error that flashed on the HUD. For the life of me, I cannot remember what the error stated, I want to say something along the lines of "incorrect function" but I know that is not it and there was a triangle with an exclamation point inside of it displayed.
The salesman was not aware of what the error meant and suggested it was due to me cycling through the features, but was not sure as they are primarily a BMW dealer and got this vehicle as a trade in. I would love some feedback about what could have caused this error. I am able to do an "overnight test drive" with the vehicle and will probably do that tomorrow (Saturday through Sunday).
I appreciate the help, and look forward to your information and if needed I am prepared to walk away from the vehicle if this was not an operator induced error.
Thanks
