I'm trying to determine what the difference is between LR4's from 2010-2013. Does anyone know? These model years all had the 5.0L V8, but what other changes were made between the years? I'm mainly looking for mechanical or technological changes - not so much appearance packages and paint colors (although please share if you know these too).

I found the thread you suggested above. Good info, but not really what I'm looking for - their discussion in that thread centers around the differences in the 5.0L and 5.0L SuperCharged in the RRS.

A good example of what I'm looking for is what I recently found on another forum: The 2011 and 2012 LR4 had an older school infotainment system that could not stream bluetooth audio from your iPhone. The 2013 could though.

So far, this is the only real difference I'm fairly sure of. I'm sure there's more to discover, just not sure what they are. Someone out there knows!

 

Ok. I was more interested in the difference in timing gear in the 10 - 12 5.0l and their failure versus the improved system in the 2013 5 liter since the NA engine is the same as the LR4.

Not much into infotainment systems (I still have dial up wall phone and a 3G iPhone) more concerned about major mechanical issues that will destroy a bank account. To each, his own.

 

Which market are you in? Lots of differences by market, many with diesel models etc too

Assuming you are in the US then not a lot of changes from 2010 to 2013. Main change was 2013 with some minor style refresh on the outside (very minor) and the new entertainment and Nav system. Nav is harddisc based vs DVD before. BT audio can stream as you say. But in reality my experience is that the difference is pretty minimal (you can stream on the earlier ones with an 80usd Bluetooth adaptor module).

Others may have additional info. My sense is they are very similar.

 

Unfortunately, all I have is the difference in the 2010 facelift to previous and then the model change in 2014. I don't have specifics for 2010 vs 2013

edit: sorry, I had RRS on the brain. I realized afterward this was about LR4 All I have for LR4 is the 2010 updates.

 

I can stream audio via bluetooth on my 12 LR4. no adapter needed. also can plug into the jack in the center console with the same result. its all done through the normal interface on the screen...odd that this is second time i am reading it...
