Default Off road wheels

I just went to my local store to try and get a set of offroad wheels for my new lr4 and they said there are no decent wheels in bolt pattern. they also said that my lr4 bolt pattern is a car not truck bolt pattern. bummer. does anyone know of a good off road wheel that would allow the use of a hi jack to hook to and lift it when needed. I'm a bit bummed and really want to go offroad but my pirelli tires almost got stuck in a muddy field yesterday.

Are you running 19" or 20" rims? since you mentioned Pirelli's, i would imagine you are running 20's. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of options for the LR4, especially due to the large brake size.

One option you might consider is Johnson Rods. They allow you to "lift" your vehicle by tricking the air suspension to run in off-road height all the time. This is accomplished by changing out a rod which controls the air suspension height. I have not purchased yet, but am strongly considering. Visit the website for more details. While you are on the site, check out the handy tire size chart. I have included the link for your reference:

Check out their website, they have a lot of good info about warranty and how it works. You may want to contact the guys at Johnson Rods directly. I believe he has had an LR3 for awhile and is oart of the Northern Cakifornia Land Rover club. He is on these forums and should be able to give some perspective.

Hi Dave
In Aust we can now get 18" rims to fit 3.0ltr L4 with the larger brakes. The website for an West Australian company, Green Oval Experience has details. These rims are from the UK and allow a greater range of tires to be selected. Regards Mike Gold Coast Aust.
