I have the lr4 2010. I turned on the ignition this morning and the touch screen was blank, the radio and cd were not playing and even the back up camera as well as the navigation does not come on. Every other thing is functional.what might be the problem?. There is no land rover dealership in my location. I am very worried

Hey there,

I had this issue a few times with my LR4. Usually, allowing the vehicle to sit for 30 minutes to an hour, then restarting addressed the issue. I am pretty sure this is fixed with a software update as mine has not done this after several rounds of software updates.

A few questions:
1) Have you had your vehicle back to the dealership since you purchased it new?
2) If yes, when was the last time?

LR has owners manuals and the dealer service info located in the same section of the website. Follow this link:
http://topix.landrover.jlrext.com/to...&cat=BULLETINS

You will notice there is one reference to the infotainment system locking up:
LTB00299NAS1 - Infotainment System Inoperative / Lock-up

Just make sure your dealership has applied the patch.

Since you don't have a dealership in your vicinity, you may need to contact the nearest dealership and setup an appointment to go visit. For software ONLY, they should be able to have you up and running in about 4 hours. If anything else needs to be done, plan on spending the entire day.

I would highly recommend speaking with the service manager (in advance of your arrival) to go through the entire list of updates/TSBs for your vehicle. This will allow them to order any necessary parts and be ready to go when you arrive that day.

Best of luck and DON'T PANIC!!!! Everything is fine.

Rgds,
