I had 2 XJs and my brother had one I helped him build. The one I offroaded the most had a 4.5in lift up front and 6in lift in the rear with 33in Mickey Thompsons, and a pile of other mods. It was a blast to drive and go offroading in, but the Disco just feels like it was meant for the trail. Even with the XJ locked it still didn't seem to have the traction the Disco has stock. Plus when you get a jeep that high you really lose stability. My brother lives down in MD, perhaps someday we will have to meet up and hit the trails with the "twins".

I live in Cape Cod, MA and originally from Orange County, NY. I am also a convert from a Wrangler(picked up the D2 in June) and have been pretty impressed with it so far. I can't say there's anything it has gone up that my Jeep hasn't but it definitely does it with a bit more ease and style. I'm heading to NY for Thanksgiving and can't wait to take it up some of the trails around my parents house. We'll see how she does. I'll post some pics and maybe videos.

My Twin!!! Nice trail, looks like a steep climb to elevation you're at.
