Default 1998 disco lift,

Hey im looking to lift my 1998 Discovery, three maybe four inches. But im having trouble finding a kit. I want to use it for off roading, and everyday driver.

Plus can anyone give me a heads up on where the Idle air control valve is located? My LR has been dying in idle very rarely and i think that the IAC valve is the problem.

Are you aware that a 4" lift on a D1 will cost you big time, new drive shafts, shocks, Brake lines and a number of other suspension parts?
Go to RTE and do some reading.
How big a tire are you looking to go to, what about your diffs.

I dont want to have to do all that, So im guessing a two inch lift wouldnt require all those other mod's right?

Anyone know where i can find a 2" lift for my 1998 land rover discovery?

So im thinking dual exhuast also, Am i going to get completely flamed for asking this?

No just a little tosted,,,
I kidding springs will give you the lift of 2" and then the only thing you could use is brake lines around $100 USD. springs and shocks $600 USD.
On the exhaust its a very tight fit under your Disco and on the Right rear you have the gas filler neck. if you want that V8 sound high flow cat's and a magna-flow muffler with the rest of the exhaust stock give you that low rumble with out the rice/sound.

So to lift mine it would cost...700 bucks? jeez and for the exhaust im looking for a nice v8 rumble like your saying, then i guess those cat's and muffler will do me right. Thanks guy's before the end of the month il hopefully have my LR Chipped lifted and exhausted.

For the exhaust, cut off the rear resinator and forget the rest, that is a waste of money.
Where do you live?
RTE make great springs but they are better then 2 months behind.
Old Man Emu is my choice, send me you tele number and we can talk about your options.

If you want 4" for tires, you could always do a 2" suspension and 2" body lift. A body lift doesn't require you to make any suspension changes at all, other than maybe extended brake lines.
